Olalla Polar Bear Plunge

Olalla greets the new year with its long-running Polar Bear Plunge, as costumed jumpers leap from the bridge next to Olalla Bay Market into the icy water. In past years the jump has officially started at noon with a cannon blast, and jumpers received certificates at Olalla Bay Landing.
