Downtown Kingston businesses near the ferry terminal will hand out treats on Halloween afternoon. Families can look for Spooktacular Treat Trail signs in participating windows. The Greater Kingston Chamber organizes the free event and invites additional businesses to join.
The Greater Kingston Kiwanis sponsors a free Halloween carnival at the Village Green Community Center. Games include a zombie cookie walk, ghost bowling and spider chase, with candy prizes and audience-participation storytelling for all ages. Organizers are collecting donated socks, winter gloves and hats.
Paintings by Roberto Esparza will hang in the Grand Hallway Gallery at the Village Green Community Center in Kingston during November and December. The Ladies Musical Club of Seattle presents a Veterans Day concert built around a restored Steinway "Victory Vertical," one of the pianos built for U.S. troops during World War II. Restorer Jordan Cook will be on hand, and performers will play music of the era. A reception follows. Admission is free.
