Parker, a Gig Harbor businessman, worked in the technology sector for companies including Intel and IBM. His campaign emphasizes affordability, support for local employers and public safety.

The 26th District covers South Kitsap, including Port Orchard and part of Bremerton, and Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula in Pierce County. It is one of two Washington districts with legislators from both parties.
