Paddlers in witch costumes will take to the water on paddleboards, kayaks and canoes for the sixth annual Witches Paddle on Bainbridge Island. Participants put in at Waterfront Park for the hourlong Halloween-season outing, which has become a waterfront tradition. Spectators can watch from shore.
Bainbridge Gardens is lining its historic nature trail with hundreds of decorated pumpkins through the end of October. Staff and children from the Boys and Girls Club painted many of the pumpkins, and visitors are invited to add their own. Food trucks are on site Saturdays. The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art will mark the Within/Earshot Jazz Festival with a family day devoted to jazz. The program includes live music, art-making activities, storytelling and a movie screening for visitors of all ages, with events running throughout the four-hour session.
