POULSBO — A Poulsbo company founded on one man’s three decades in the auto body business has launched an artificial intelligence research tool for collision repair shops.
BainbridgeAI’s Collision CoPilot grew out of Travis Johnston’s more than 30 years in collision repair, the company said. Johnston is a second-generation shop owner who saw how much time repairers spend digging through estimating information, repair references, Database Enhancement Gateway inquiries and other industry guidance.
The tool brings collision-specific information into the AI tools shops already use and helps users check the sources behind an answer, according to the company, which is marketing it to shops nationwide.
Johnston’s industry perspective has been featured in FenderBender and on BodyShop Business’ Collision Course.
