County hearing Monday on cleanup of land-use administrative code

PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County commissioners will hold a public hearing Monday, Oct. 26, on proposed 2026 edits to the county’s administrative code.

The county Department of Community Development said the changes are meant to eliminate or reduce conflicting code provisions, clarify existing sections, stay consistent with state law, restore code that may have been missed in a previous update and make the code more predictable for applicants and staff.

The hearing begins at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners Chambers of the Kitsap County Administration Building, 619 Division St., Port Orchard. The proposed changes and a comment form are at kitsap.gov/dcd/Pages/Administrative-Code-Edits.aspx; comments are accepted through Oct. 26.

Questions can go to Jim Rogers, long-range planning supervisor, at jlrogers@kitsap.gov or 360-337-5777.
