BREMERTON — Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County raised more than $76,482 at its second annual Hearts for Housing fundraising breakfast Sept. 30 at the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside, the organization said.
More than 270 people attended, according to Habitat. Angelica Yanten Winter told the crowd about her family’s experience with Habitat’s homeownership program.
Kitsap Bank and Puget Sound Energy were the event’s top-level sponsors. More than a dozen other businesses and individuals also sponsored it.
The Bremerton-based nonprofit said the money will help create more pathways to homeownership for local families.
Next year’s breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2027. Donations can be made at kitsaphabitat.org. Habitat’s office is at 3581 Wheaton Way in Bremerton, and the phone number is 360-479-3853.
