Manchester council meeting to focus on disaster readiness

MANCHESTER — A Kitsap County emergency management official will share tips on preparing neighborhoods for earthquakes, tsunamis and other disasters at the Manchester Community Advisory Council’s Nov. 3 meeting.

Dave Rasmussen of the county Department of Emergency Management will speak at the meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Manchester Library, 8067 E. Main St. It is open to the public.

The advisory council meets monthly to give Manchester-area residents a forum with Kitsap County government. Agendas are posted on the county’s community advisory council webpage at kitsap.gov.
