Three injured in three-vehicle collision near Port Orchard

PORT ORCHARD — Three people were injured Friday morning, Oct. 23, in a three-vehicle collision at State Route 160 and Long Lake Road Southeast in Kitsap County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:37 a.m. when a 2015 Ford Flex driven by Jaime L. Loveless, 46, of Port Orchard, entered SR 160 from southbound Long Lake Road and was struck by an eastbound 2025 Ford Maverick driven by Jacob D. Rasely, 31, of Port Orchard.

The Ford Flex then crossed into the northbound lane of Long Lake Road and struck a 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by Tanya N. Meredith, 37, of Port Orchard. The Flex overturned onto its side, blocking the southbound lane, while the Maverick came to rest in a ditch.

Loveless was transported to Tacoma General Hospital. Her passenger, 13-year-old Paisley Allred, was transported to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Rasely was injured but was not transported to a hospital. Meredith was not injured.

Troopers determined that failure to stop caused the collision. Loveless faces a charge of second-degree negligent driving.

The State Patrol reported that all four occupants were wearing seat belts and drugs or alcohol were not involved.
